We are glad to announce our new workshop "Dress Up Your Success" that will be part of the annual Stem Cell Center Retreat/Conference organised by the Lund Stem Cell Center (SCC) (Lund University in Sweden). The workshop aims to broaden understanding of career opportunities and how to deal with career transitions.
During the workshop, some top talented professionals with a strong academic background, who now works in a completely different environment will be the keynote speakers. The goal of the talks will be to explain the roles and the tasks in their current jobs and give advice on how to prepare for such positions, starting from Academia. There will be time for informal Q-A and networking.
Lund Stem Cell Center:
Consisting of many strong research groups and over 130 people under "one roof", Lund Stem Cell Center (SCC) is one of the largest in the field, with the goal of becoming a major force in translational research and career development in biomedical research. Established in 2003 by support of the Swedish government, SCC aims to develop novel cell therapies through a holistic understanding of genetic pathways regulating stem cell fate decisions and to become a state of the art translational research centre promoting high-quality research and career development in biomedical research.
The "Dress up your success" workshop aims to encourage and enable women and men to pursue a new path outside University.
We have invited several top talented speakers with a strong scientific background, who now are business consultants in different national and international corporations. Our speakers will explain the roles and activities in their current positions. Moreover, each of them will address different aspects of how preparing yourself for such transitions.
During a light dinner, you will have the opportunity to network with the speakers and other representants of some of the most important consulting firms. Accenture, Deloitte, McKinsey & Company, The Boston Consulting Group, and Qvartz already confirmed their participation!
The workshop targets Ph.Ds students, researchers, and academic staff. Also, recent graduates and people interested in the Consulting World are most welcome to apply.
There is a limited number of seats available; we will select the about 50 participants based on relevant background, education level and accuracy in filling in the registration form, prioritising who applied first. If you will be selected, we will ask you to pay a registration fee of 80 DKK.
