I have a Master in Human Biology from University of Copenhagen where I performed my master thesis project in the biotech company Nordic Bioscience A/S in the field of bone biology. I continued in the company as an industrial PhD student and earned my PhD in cellular biology in 2010. For two additional years I continued working at Nordic Bioscience, but now in the field of diabetes and biomarker development. In 2012 I was hired by Novo Nordisk A/S for a position as postdoc in the department of Translational Immunology. In spring 2014 I moved to Los Angeles to work as a postdoc at the hospital Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the research field inflammatory bowel disease, and I worked at the hospital for 2 years. In spring 2016 I moved back to Denmark and was hired by the Danish Medicines Agency for a position as Pharmacovigilance officer.
