Marta Mikš-Krajnik

It has been a long and exciting journey. Motivated by overcoming many hurdles and challenges that faced me on the way, I completed PhD in Food Biotechnology in 2011 at the local and largely unknown University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Poland. Shortly after, I became a proud Assistant Professor at my Alma Mater with ambitious dreams for starting my new Academic life. And even though, I was successful, I knew I should continue my career in completely different way… thus… I moved to Asia, where I got an opportunity to work at National University of Singapore (NUS) as Visiting Research Fellow. It was like taking a Step-Back and a Step-Forward at the same time, and possibly also, the Best Step I could ever take. However, I quickly understood, that being just Academic will never be good enough, so entering the Business world was simply a natural consequence of my life experiences.
