Sweetch Energy is a startup company for the production of energy by the gradient of salinity. It intends to implement a new technology based on a new type of nanofluidic membranes. To carry out its R&D program funded by 3 independent investment funds, Sweetch Energy is recruiting 4 experienced researchers. The positions will be based in Rennes and Paris.
The main fields of interest and the related R&D open positions are:
1) Electrodes: electrochemist with expertise in electrodes conception and realization for saline solutions.
2) Membrane: chemist or material scientist in nanoporous membrane fabrication and characterisation. Expertise in Atomic Layer Deposition would be an asset.
3) Micro/nano fluidics: one position for a physicist with expertise in electrokinetic transport at micro and nano channels. One position for physicist with expertise in mixing at the microscale.
For applying for any of these positions, you should have a relevant Ph.D. degree in the field of micro- and nanofluidics, physical chemistry or material science. You should be fluent in English, both written and oral. French knowledge is considered a plus but is not a requirement.
Positions are permanent, following the development of the company. Moreover, the areas will comply with standard French conditions and the salaries are expected to vary between 47000 and 55000 euros/year, according to the working experience.
